The Shakespeare Revue

by Christopher Luscombe and Malcolm McKee
Directed by Stephen Ralph

Dates: 4th - 13th June (No Sunday Performance)

Featuring songs and comedy sketches from Edwardian Music Hall through Cole Porter and Stephen Sondheim to Ned Sherrin, Victoria Wood and Stephen Fry & Hugh Laurie, The Shakespeare Revue is an evening of sparkling sophistication and unabashed fun.

First presented by the RSC at The Barbican Centre and subsequently in the West End, this joyous words-and-music celebration of the bard gathers together some of the finest comic material inspired by Shakespeare.

The show is a handsome tribute to British comic writing. Clever, spontaneous and a wholly civilised delight, it epitomises the charm of revue.

“A rave revue.” (Daily Telegraph)

“Scintillatingly funny.” (Sunday Times)

“Absolute bliss.” (The Times)

“A comic cocktail.” (Evening Standard)
