Betty
Derbyshire is a passionate housewife and doting mum who
finds it hard to accept that her son is leaving the fold
to get married. On the morning of her son Mark's wedding
she retreats to the loft where she re-lives her long-gone
youth and the affair with the man that she might have
married, and gradually reconciles herself to the departure
of Mark. Her exile rejuvenates her sense of self-worth,
and ultimately she escapes the men who, in various ways,
have prevented her from fulfilling her potential. |
