Moon Over Buffalo

Directed by Anne Chamberlain

George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of repertory theatre in 1950s Buffalo, have just lost their last chance at stardom as leads in a Frank Capra movie. To make matters worse, their agent is smitten with Charlotte and the company ingénue is pregnant by George. News comes through that Frank Capra will be attending the matinee — but George is missing and the company can't remember if they’re playing Private Lives or Cyrano de Bergerac. Ken Ludwig’s fast-paced farce premiered on Broadway with Carol Burnett and Philip Bosco in the lead roles, and later transferred to the West End as Over The Moon, with Joan Collins and Frank Langella.
